WECP AGM – ABERDEEN 2019
B2B Matchmaking at Offshore Europe
The City of Aberdeen has been selected to host the prestigious World Energy Cities Partnership (WECP) AGM in 2019. The event invites Mayors and their delegations, which include senior players in the global oil and gas market, to Aberdeen from Monday 2 September to attend a four-day programme of events and business networking alongside Offshore Europe.
On 4-5 September there will be chance to meet potential international business and technology partners from the World Energy Cities Partnership during a B2B matchmaking event.
This will provide a forum for oil, gas renewable energy companies and research institutions to share knowledge and expertise and form new business relationships in pre-organised one-to-one meetings.
- Initiate contact with key oil, gas and energy regions globally
- Target potential business partners in pre-scheduled face-to-face meetings
- Learn about new technologies and solutions
- Get latest international market insights
The WECP is a non-profit organisation whose member cities are globally recognised as international energy capitals. These member cities actively seek and develop opportunities to learn, exchange, and engage in activities which strengthen multilateral ties. The membership primarily serves to facilitate business-to-business interaction, partnerships in energy-related activities, and the sharing of industry knowledge, contacts, and experiences, while providing a worldwide network of industry support services and resources. The organisation facilitates trade missions for local businesses to travel to member cities and capitalise on business development opportunities.
This unique partnership also enables exchange beyond the energy industry and the exploration of opportunities for mutual development in a variety of strategic areas such as, education, environmental technology, medicine and bio-science, and tourism development.
